Mate manages MEAT Mission in Hoxton so go in there.

Was there a good chippy opposite the old plessy factory in ilford?
Costas on ilford lane and the one that hardly ever opened on woodlands rd are two I remember as a kid.

ahh yes-it's quite new- it is good though.
Also try Trollspantry burgers- served in The Hobgoblin pub.
BBQ food served at Worlds End Pub
and anything served in Meat Liqour
All fantastic grub!

Mate reckons he's got a cracking one near him and he likes his food so I'm due down Brighton soon, it's just outside there apparently.
He introduced me to 'Burger brothers' in Brighton..One of the best i've ever had.

There's nothing poncey about Poppies. The geezer who owns that has been serving fish and chips in the Eastend for over 50 years. And he was doing his places up like that well before that area was fashionable.

Can't beat fish n chips but few places do it well nowadays.
Proper bit of fish with crunchy batter, golden chips.
Slight splash of vinegar and a dash of salt on the chips when you get home.
A bit of TOMMY K on the side.
That's all you need...none of this curry sauce muck!
